Hijos de Zoila Espadín Mezcal 750ml

Hijos de Zoila is an artisanal mezcal made from 100% maguey Espadín by the Nolasco family, fourth-generation maguey growers near San Luis del Río, Oaxaca. The roasted agave is crushed by tahona, fermented for 7 to 9 days and distilled in a copper alembic. The brand was created by Hernan Fernando as a tribute to his mother and grandmother, and it is bottled at 48% ABV (96 proof).

Expect wood smoke and roasted agave, then green herbs, citrus peel and a mineral edge on a dry, smoky finish. Sip it neat from a copita with orange slices or make a Mezcal Negroni. 750 mL.
