Dona Vega Tobala Mezcal 750 ml

Doña Vega Tobalá is a 100% Tobalá (Agave potatorum) mezcal made in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, by a fifth-generation family of mezcaleros run by a mother and her three daughters. The agave is roasted in an underground pit oven, crushed by tahona, and distilled in copper pots, then bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).

Founder Sonya Vega set out to make a mezcal that is less intensely smoky than many, and the producer lists notes of vanilla and nougat. Sip it neat to taste the wild agave.
