Rod and Hammer's Straight Rye 750ml

Rod & Hammer's SLO Stills is a small distillery in San Luis Obispo, California, founded by Rodney Cegelski, a Shell Beach surfer, and Hamish Marshall, an Australian jackaroo. Their friendship and love of the Central Coast shape the brand, which operates alongside SLO Brewing Co.

This straight rye is made from a 95% rye mash and aged two years in new charred American white oak. Before bottling, it's cut with Pacific Ocean water that has been distilled and purified, a nod to the founders' coastal roots. Expect pepper and cedar on the nose, then a hit of rye spice with citrus and leather, finishing with smoke, tobacco and a touch of caramel sweetness.

A bold, spicy rye that works neat or in a Manhattan.
