Templeton Midnight Rye Whiskey 750 ML

Templeton Midnight Rye is a 90-proof rye whiskey from a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mash, aged in charred new American oak and then blended with dark California port wine. The whiskey is distilled in Indiana and aged in Templeton, Iowa, the town whose name the brand carries.

The port gives this rye a deep mahogany color and a darker, fruit-driven profile. Templeton describes aromas of dark cherries, figs and spiced orange peel, a silky palate of cinnamon, clove and dark chocolate, and a lingering finish of dried fruit, oak and black pepper. It took a Gold Medal at the 2024 San Diego International Spirits Competition.

Try it neat, or use it in a Manhattan where the port adds richness.
