Grander Rye Whiskey Barrel Finished 750 ml

Grander is a Panamanian rum brand founded in 2015 by Kentucky native Dan DeHart, working with the Las Cabras Distillery in Herrera, Panama. The distillery grows its own sugarcane, uses a proprietary yeast and local water, and runs four independent distilling columns.

This limited Barrel Series release takes a blend of 65% 12-year-old and 35% 15-year-old rum and finishes it for eight months in American white oak barrels that previously held Kentucky rye whiskey. It is bottled at 100 proof with no chill filtration, coloring or added sugar. Expect cooked fruit, molasses, wood and hay on the nose, then molasses, vanilla, chocolate and a peppery rye spice that carries into a long, spicy finish.
