Fortaleza Blanco 700 ml

Fortaleza Blanco is a 100% agave tequila made at La Fortaleza distillery in the town of Tequila, Jalisco (NOM 1493), by the fifth generation of the Sauza family. The agave is cooked in stone ovens, crushed with a tahona, fermented in wooden tanks, and distilled in copper pot stills, then bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 700ml hand-blown bottle.

The producer describes aromas of citrus and cooked agave with butter, olive, earth, and black pepper, and a palate of cooked agave, vanilla, basil, olive, and lime with a long finish. Best sipped neat, and also a strong base for a margarita.
