Don Q Double Aged Vermouth Cask Finish 750 ML

Don Q Double Aged Vermouth Cask Finish comes from Destilería Serrallés in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the family-owned producer behind Don Q, Puerto Rico's best-selling rum. It starts with rums aged 5 to 8 years in American white oak, which are then finished for 4 to 6 weeks in Italian white oak barrels that previously held Mancino Vermouth Vecchio.

The vermouth casks add sweetness to the aroma alongside chocolate, vanilla and honey. On the palate, cherry and raisin from the vermouth-soaked wood mingle with honey, dark chocolate and vanilla, with a wine-like, lightly herbal edge.

It makes a natural base for a rum Manhattan or other stirred drinks and is pleasant on its own over a large cube.
