Bumbu Original Rum 750 ml

Bumbu The Original is a Barbados rum released in 2016, based on a recipe used by the sailors and merchants of the colonial West Indies, who blended native Caribbean spices and fruits into their rum and called it "bumbu." It is made at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, founded in 1893, using two continuous stills and a yeast strain dating to 1840, from sugarcane grown around the Caribbean and South America. The rum is aged in ex-bourbon barrels for up to 15 years, then blended with natural Caribbean flavors. Bottled at 70 proof (35% ABV) in the US.

Aromas of Madagascan vanilla, soft caramel, and toasted oak. The palate has roasted nuts, cinnamon, allspice, and banana, with a mild sweetness and a light, smooth finish. Sip it neat or on the rocks, or mix it with cola or ginger beer.
