Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt 750 ml

Teeling Blackpitts is a peated Irish single malt from the Teeling Distillery in Dublin, named for the Blackpitts area behind the distillery, once home to some of Ireland's largest malting houses. It is triple distilled, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sauternes wine casks, and bottled non-chill filtered at 92 proof (46% ABV). Triple distillation softens the medicinal edge of peat and lets barbecue-style smoke come through.

Barbecue smoke and cloves on the nose with butterscotch and orange peel. The palate blends applewood smoke, honey, and allspice with stewed pears and grilled pineapple, and the finish returns with savory smoke and salted caramel.
