Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal takes its name from 1738, the year the house's cognacs were recognized by the King of France. It is a Fine Champagne cognac, meaning it is blended exclusively from eaux-de-vie of the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus.

What sets 1738 apart is the use of eaux-de-vie aged in toasted barrels alongside traditionally aged spirits. The result is rich and rounded: plum and fig marmalade up front, then oaky notes of toffee and toasted bread, finishing creamy with concentrated nutty aromas.
