Rare Character Whiskey Hurst Knoll 750ml

Hurst Knoll is a Kentucky straight rye from Rare Character Whiskey Company, founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix, a veteran bartender who built the blend specifically to work in cocktails. It's a union of sourced Kentucky rye barrels, at least seven years old, bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV), and non-chill filtered.

Bright citrus, tart lime, sweet caramel, honey, and clove on the nose. The palate is oily and viscous, with mild sweetness, tart lime, spearmint, orange zest, and caramel apple, and the finish is warm with white pepper, baking spice, and oak char. Built for a Manhattan, Old Fashioned, or Vieux Carré, and holds up well neat too.
