Powers Gold Label 750 ml

Powers Gold Label is a blended Irish whiskey with a strong pot still character, first made by John Power & Son in Dublin in 1791 and now produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is triple distilled, matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 86.4 proof (43.2% ABV).

Cinnamon, clove oil, and white pepper on the nose with russet apple, ripe pear, and charred oak. The palate has cinnamon and nutmeg with orchard fruit, vanilla, and toasted oak over a crisp barley core, and the finish is long, with pot still spice fading to barley and toasted wood. Good neat, on the rocks, or in an Irish coffee.
