Oban Coastal Orchard Single Malt Scotch 10 year 750 ML

Coastal Orchard is Oban's entry in Diageo's 2024 Special Releases. It is a 10 year old Highland single malt bottled at cask strength, 58% ABV. The whisky matured in refill casks, then was finished in newly charred American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry.

Oban describes a fresh, maritime nose of clean sea air, crystal salt and seaweed, followed by baked apple, sea-salted vanilla, oak and warming spice (nutmeg, cinnamon and clove). The palate is thick and creamy, with fruity sweetness, orange and lemon, vanilla, sea salt and peppery oak. The finish is medium in length and warmly spiced.

At this strength, a few drops of water help it open up. This is a limited release for Oban fans and Special Releases collectors.
