Crater Lake Estate Rye Whiskey 93 Proof 5 year 750 ml

Crater Lake Estate Rye comes from Bendistillery in Bend, Oregon, the maker of Crater Lake Spirits. It's a true estate whiskey. The distillery grows its own rye on 14 acres on-site, uses water from a 745-foot-deep well filtered through lava rock, and distills a single batch each year. The whiskey rests at least five years in new 53-gallon American oak barrels with a #4 char, aging in the Central Oregon high desert.

The mash is 100% rye, bottled at 93 proof. The Whiskey Wash noted honey, brown sugar, apricot and Brazil nut on the nose, followed by candy corn, cinnamon, pecan pie and a mesquite-wood note on the palate. It's darker and richer than Crater Lake's standard rye, and a strong choice for rye drinkers who like a bit more oak.
