The Classic Laddie is the flagship of Bruichladdich, the self-styled Progressive Hebridean Distillers on the Isle of Islay. Islay is known for smoke, but this single malt is unpeated, showing off the floral, elegant house style the distillery is known for.

It's distilled from 100% Scottish barley, slowly trickle distilled, and bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The higher strength gives it more texture and depth, and the unpeated profile makes it a good entry point for anyone who assumes all Islay whisky is smoky.

Bruichladdich also makes the heavily peated Port Charlotte and the super-heavily peated Octomore. The Classic Laddie is where the story starts.
