Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon 750 ml

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked starts with fully matured Woodford Reserve Kentucky bourbon from the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. The whiskey is then moved into a second new charred oak barrel, one that was deeply toasted before being lightly charred, and rests there for just under a year.

That second barrel draws out extra sweetness and depth from the wood. On the nose you get toasted marshmallow, sweet vanilla, toasted oak, and a syrupy richness. The palate is led by oak and vanilla with caramel, leather, and dried dark fruit underneath, and the finish carries burnt caramel, baking chocolate, tobacco, and rye spice with a gentle white pepper tail.

Pour it neat or with a single cube to enjoy the dessert-like richness, or build a bold Old Fashioned that can stand up to the extra oak.
