The Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky 2026 Edition 700 ml

The Hakushu 2026 Edition is the latest limited release in Suntory's Story of the Distillery series, released in May 2026. It's a vatting of smoky Hakushu malt aged in bourbon barrels, bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), and packaged in Echizen washi paper decorated with birds native to the forest around the distillery.

Expect pineapple, vanilla cream, and roasted green tea on the nose, a light, soft palate that is sweet and slightly bitter, and a lingering bittersweet smoke on the finish. Sip it neat or with a splash of water.
