The Butterfly Cannon The Winged King Reposado Tequila 750ml

The Winged King is the ultra-premium reposado from Butterfly Cannon, the tequila brand best known for its color-changing Blue expression. This one is all about the aging: it rests for eight months in ex-bourbon casks, and the agave is cooked two ways, with half the piñas steam-roasted in walled brick ovens and half cooked in autoclaves.

The brand describes aromas of mellow oak and citrus, followed by flavors of agave, warm vanilla, tree nuts, spiced cloves and cinnamon. It is a rounded, gently spiced reposado that works well sipped neat or over ice.

The presentation is a big part of its appeal. It comes in a black gloss decanter topped with a life-sized monarch butterfly statuette, which makes it a striking bottle for the back bar or a memorable gift for tequila fans.
