Stranahans Sherry Cask single malt 94pf 750 ml

Stranahan's Sherry Cask is an American single malt from Stranahan's in Denver, Colorado, handcrafted from grain to bottle. It is double distilled from 100% malted barley, aged four years in virgin American white oak, and then finished in 500-liter Oloroso sherry casks from Andalusia, Spain. Bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). Beverage Testing Institute gave it 94 points and a Gold Medal.

Over-ripe cherry, sweet apple, raisins, almonds, leather, and fresh-cut hay on the nose. The palate offers honey, Montmorency cherries, blackcurrant, and fig with walnut, and the finish is buttery caramel, whipped cream, brown sugar, and a touch of cayenne. Best neat, with a splash of water, or in cocktails.
