Smoke Wagon Uncut The Younger Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750 ml

Smoke Wagon Uncut The Younger comes from Nevada H&C Distilling Co. in Las Vegas, which selects and blends barrels of Indiana-distilled bourbon in small batches. It is the barrel-proof, uncut and unfiltered counterpart to Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon, built mainly from younger barrels of about four years old.

The mash bill is a high-rye recipe with 36% rye, and it shows in the glass. Reviewers point to dried stone fruit, honey and molasses on the nose, cinnamon candy, honey, oak and rye spice on a thick palate, and a long finish of cinnamon, black pepper and cherry candy. Add a few drops of water to open it up.
