Smoke Wagon Bottled in Bond Straight Rye 750 ml

Smoke Wagon Bottled in Bond Straight Rye comes from Nevada H&C Distilling Co. in Las Vegas, founded by filmmaker Jonathan Hensleigh and bar owner Aaron Chepenik. The rye is distilled in Indiana (51% rye mash bill) and aged and bottled in Nevada. As a Bottled in Bond whiskey it is at least four years old, from a single distilling season, and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV). "Smoke Wagon" is old West slang for the Colt Single Action Army revolver.

Candied fruit, sweet corn, and baking spices on the nose. The palate is creamy with fruit leather and honeyed cereal before black pepper and cinnamon rye spice, and the finish is bold, spiced, and persistent.
