Shucked Straight Bourbon 750ml

Shucked is an independently owned bourbon brand, and its straight bourbon is sourced from Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the historic distillery long known as MGP. It is made from a classic high-rye mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley.

As a straight bourbon without an age statement, it has spent at least four years in new charred oak. The first release was bottled at 90.4 proof, which keeps it approachable enough for sipping neat while giving it enough weight for cocktails.

Shucked leans sweet from start to finish. Expect candy corn, brown sugar and caramel on the palate, fading into toffee and Kentucky cream pull candy on the finish. Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in an easygoing Old Fashioned, and yes, it's a good match for a platter of oysters.
