Redwood Empire Grizzly Beast Straight Bourbon 750ml

Grizzly Beast is Redwood Empire's bottled-in-bond straight bourbon, distilled and aged at its Mare Island distillery in Vallejo, California. The name joins two famous California trees: the Grizzly Giant, a giant sequoia in Yosemite, and the Mattole Beast, a 375-foot coast redwood in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

As a bonded bourbon, it follows the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. It comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season and is bottled at 100 proof. It's released in batches, and the grain recipe and age can shift slightly from batch to batch. For the 2025 batch (Batch 005), the distillery lists notes of boozy plum and warm blackberry on the nose, with Earl Grey tea and honeycomb on the palate.
