Rabbit Hole Dareringer Sherry Casks Finished Bourbon 750 ml

Rabbit Hole Dareringer is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks made in Spain by Casknolia Cooperage. The bourbon is aged in new toasted and charred barrels, then rested in the PX casks, blended from no more than 15 barrels, and bottled non-chill filtered at 93 proof (46.5% ABV). The bourbon base is a wheated mash bill of 68% corn, 18% wheat, and 14% malted barley. The label was inspired by the wife of founder Kaveh Zamanian. It was named one of Robb Report's 25 Best Bourbons of the 21st Century.

Sherry and cherry on the nose, with raisins, currants, almond, and vanilla on the palate. The sweetness is balanced by a gentle spice, and the finish has dark fruit, caramel, and oak. Good neat or in a cocktail.
