Pinhook Bourbon Vertical Series Batch #2654 Reserve 2024 750 ML

The 2024 Pinhook Vertical Series Bourbon is a 9 year old straight bourbon, the sixth of nine annual releases that follow the same 1,350 barrels of Indiana-distilled high-rye bourbon as they age from 4 to 12 years. The mash bill is 75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley. It was aged, blended from 100 barrels, and bottled by Pinhook master blender Sean Josephs at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, non-chill filtered at 114.3 proof (57.15% ABV). Each label features a Pinhook racehorse, and this year's is Bourbon War.

Seasoned cedar, cardamom, and preserved oranges on the nose. The palate brings brown sugar, glazed almonds, and brandied cherries, and the finish is long, smooth, and warming. Sip it neat or with a few drops of water.
