Mijenta Maestra Selection No 1 Blanco 750 ML

Mijenta Maestra Selection No. 1 is the first release in Mijenta's Maestra Selection series, a limited run of blanco tequilas chosen by the brand's maestra tequilera. It is bottled at a bold 100 proof, giving the agave extra presence and a longer, more layered finish than a standard-strength blanco.

It is made at Mijenta's distillery (NOM 1412) in the highlands of Jalisco from 100% Blue Weber agave. The piñas are slow-cooked in a low-pressure autoclave, crushed with a roller mill, fermented in stainless steel and double distilled in pot stills before bottling without aging.

Expect cooked agave, citrus, wildflowers and wet stone on the nose, followed by anise, cinnamon and cracked black pepper with a cool hint of mint. Despite the proof, the texture is round and smooth. Sip it neat and give it a few minutes in the glass, or use it to build a spirit-forward margarita or Ranch Water.
