Lucky Seven Spirits was founded by longtime friends Michael Lahalih and John Pals, two bourbon fans who named the brand after Warner Bros.' "Lucky Stage 7," where Hollywood classics such as Casablanca were filmed. The company selects and bottles Kentucky straight bourbon, and The Proprietor is its top single-barrel line: barrels the founders judged too good to blend, bottled at cask strength without dilution.

This bottle comes from Barrel #53 and is a 6-year-old single barrel. Because each barrel is bottled at its own strength, proof varies from barrel to barrel. Published notes for the 6 Year Proprietor describe caramel, fruit, chocolate, vanilla and oak spice on the nose, with raisin, baking spice and oak on the palate and a finish of dark fruit and spice.

The Proprietor line has earned Double Gold at the 2021 World Spirits Competition and 94 points from Whiskey Advocate.
