High West American Bourbon 750ml

High West Bourbon, formerly called American Prairie Bourbon, is the Park City, Utah whiskey maker's blend of straight bourbons. Breaking Bourbon reports that the blend combines bourbons from MGP in Indiana (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley) and from an undisclosed source (84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley), with whiskeys aged from 2 to 13 years.

Breaking Bourbon's review finds caramel, melted butter and fresh-cut apple on the nose, with vanilla and cinnamon. Oak, vanilla and spice lead on the palate, and dry oak, toasted nuts and cinnamon carry the finish.

At 92 proof, it's an easy everyday bourbon for sipping or for Old Fashioneds and Manhattans.
