Heritage Distilling Co. Stiefel's Single Barrel 4 Grain Bourbon 750 ml

Stiefel's Select is the premium whiskey line from Heritage Distilling Co. in Washington State, named for founders Jennifer and Justin Stiefel. Each release is a hand-selected single barrel, and the distillery's guiding idea is simple: the barrel tells you when it is ready.

The Four Grain Bourbon brings together corn, wheat, rye and malted barley. Heritage has published a recipe of 55% corn, 25% soft white wheat, 15% rye and 5% malted barley, sourced largely from Washington farms, distilled in-house on custom Italian stills and matured for more than four years in new, heavy-charred American oak in Washington's ambient climate.

Judges at the USA Spirits Ratings described campfire and burnt honey notes, with layers of toffee, maple and vanilla and a smooth, lingering finish. As a single barrel bottling, proof and character vary from barrel to barrel.
