Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Rye Chinquapin Barrel 700ml

This Kentucky straight rye whiskey comes from Heaven Hill's Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series and was aged in barrels made from Chinquapin oak, a species of American white oak, chosen with Independent Stave Company. The mash bill is 63% rye, 24% corn, and 13% malted barley, with the corn grown by Peterson Farms in Nelson County, Kentucky. It is bottled at barrel proof, 107 proof (53.5% ABV), in a 700ml bottle.

Expect bold rye spice, vanilla, and grassy, herbal notes on the nose, with baking spice, oak, leather, and earthy notes on the palate and a finish of charred oak and vanilla custard. Sip neat or with a few drops of water.
