Del Maguey Pechuga 750ml

Del Maguey Pechuga is a family-made single village mezcal bottled at 98 proof (49% ABV). Double-distilled mezcal is distilled a third time with wild mountain fruits such as apples, plums, red plantains, and pineapples, plus almonds, white rice, and a whole skinned chicken breast suspended in the still. Production is limited to December and January, when the wild fruits are in season.

Expect herbal and floral aromas with notes of salami, basil, and lemongrass, followed by smoky roast chicken skin, smoked paprika, and sea salt on the palate and a finish of citrus and peppery spice. Best sipped neat.
