Mamajuana is the Dominican Republic's beloved folk spirit, traditionally made by steeping rum with native barks, roots and spices and sweetening it with honey. Candela brings that tradition into the bottle with a premium, ready-to-pour version made in the Dominican Republic.

Candela builds its spirit on rum made from single-origin sugarcane juice and matured in casks, then blends it with natural spices and honey. Expect warm cinnamon and clove on the nose with a hint of honey, followed by a smooth, rich palate of spiced rum and tropical spice with an herbal undertone. The finish is long and warm, with honey and spice lingering.

At 60 proof, it is gentle enough to sip chilled or over ice, the way it is often enjoyed in the Dominican Republic, and it adds spice and depth to rum punches, mules and tiki-style cocktails.
