Bear Fight American Single Malt Limited Release Small Batch 750ml

Bear Fight is an American single malt launched in 2022 by Next Century Spirits of Raleigh, North Carolina. Master Blender Nick Scarff designed it as an approachable, everyday American single malt that combines Scotch tradition with American whiskey character. Actor and filmmaker Seth MacFarlane later joined the brand as a partner.

It is made from 100% malted barley and aged three years, first in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-sherry and peated casks. Expect pecan, red apple and honeysuckle on the nose, with dried fig, black currant and candied date on the palate, then a finish of sweet sherry and a hint of Islay-style peat smoke.

A good bottle for exploring American single malt, or a gentle introduction to peat.
