Bardstown Bourbon Company Lochs of Jura Barrel Finish is a limited 2026 release that brings together mature American whiskey and casks from the remote Isle of Jura, Scotland. Bardstown created a bespoke blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys before transferring the blend into barrels previously used to mature Jura single malt Scotch whisky.

The whiskey spends an additional 32 months in these Scotch casks—an unusually extensive finishing period designed to allow the American whiskey and residual single malt character to fully integrate. The finishing program uses 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-Sherry Scotch whisky barrels, creating a layered combination of caramel and American whiskey spice with ripe fruit, soft malt, subtle smoke, and maritime character.

Bottled at 52% ABV (104 proof), Lochs of Jura opens with vanilla crème, blackberry compote, toasted oak, mint, and cigar box before developing fresh spearmint, caramel, cinnamon spice, and fruit-forward Sherry notes. The release earned an exceptional 99 points and Best American Whiskey at the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
