Jack Daniel's is made at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, from a mash of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. Before barreling, the new spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal (the Lincoln County Process), which gives Tennessee whiskey its mellow character. Barrels for the Single Barrel program come from the upper levels of the barrelhouses.
