Description
Asil Añejo is a barrel-aged raicilla from Mexico, bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) and brought to the US by PKGD Group of Holland, Michigan. Raicilla is the traditional agave spirit of Jalisco, and the añejo designation means extended time in barrel.
The Beverage Testing Institute noted creamy oak, Castelvetrano olive and matcha on the nose, with gingersnap, maple, pipe tobacco and dark chocolate on the finish.
Sip it neat or over a single large ice cube. 750 mL.
