Description
La Higuera Sotol Dasylirion Wheeleri is an unaged sotol from Aldama, Chihuahua, made by third-generation maestro sotolero Gerardo Ruelas Hernandez. The sotol plants are cooked in an outdoor conical oven, milled by hand with axes, fermented with wild yeast in pine vats and double distilled in copper alembic stills. Bottling strength varies by lot.
Expect green herbs, soft smoke and a hint of pineapple.
Sip it neat or use it in place of mezcal in a cocktail. 750 mL.
