Description
Fidencio Madrecuixe is a joven mezcal from Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, made by mezcalero Enrique Jiménez. It is distilled from wild Madrecuixe, a variety of Agave karwinskii that grows 12 to 15 years before harvest.
The agave is pit-roasted over oak for about five days and double distilled in copper stills. Expect vegetal and floral aromas, balanced smoke, leather and caramel.
Sip it neat at room temperature. 750 mL.
