Curado Agave Azul Tequila Blanco 750 ml

Curado Blanco (Blue Agave) is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco highlands, made at the Los Alambiques distillery (NOM 1474). The agave is cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill, and double-distilled in copper pot stills.

What makes Curado different is its finishing step: cooked blue agave is packed into cotton bags and steeped in high-proof blanco for about five days before the tequila is brought to bottling strength, a nod to the old practice of "curing" spirits with fruit or agave. Tasters on Tequila Matchmaker describe a nose of cooked agave, flowers, citrus and black pepper, with sweet cooked agave, honey, cinnamon and a hint of butterscotch on the palate and a white-pepper finish.
