Chicken Cock Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Chicken Cock Wheated is the historic brand's first wheated bourbon, released as a permanent part of its core lineup. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged at least five years with a mash bill of 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, aged in #4 char barrels. It was made with Bardstown Bourbon Company and is bottled at 94 proof in the brand's honeycomb-pattern glass, a nod to 1800s medicinal bottles.

The brand's notes describe a velvety palate of cordial cherries, cream soda and caramel, with a finish of baked dough, brown sugar, dried fruit and gentle baking spice. Breaking Bourbon picked up wheat bread, cookie dough and brown sugar on the nose. Chicken Cock was founded in 1856 in Paris, Kentucky, and was revived in 2012 by Grain & Barrel Spirits.
