818 Tequila Blanco 750 ml

818 Tequila Blanco is named for the area code of the San Fernando Valley and is made in Jalisco from 100% Blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked in stone ovens and crushed with a tahona. It is fermented in stainless steel and double-distilled in copper pot stills, using deep well water.

This is a soft, sweet-leaning blanco rather than a sharp, peppery one. Tasters often pick up vanilla, cream soda and cinnamon, which makes it easygoing for anyone who is new to tequila. Seasoned agave drinkers may find the cooked-agave character lighter than in more traditional highland blancos.

It works best in drinks: a Margarita, a Paloma, or a simple highball with soda water and lime. Chilled and served neat, it is smooth enough for easy sipping.
