Heavens Door Ascension 750ml

Ascension is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven's Door, the American whiskey brand created with Bob Dylan. It blends a high-rye bourbon with a more traditional bourbon, including the brand's own spirit, and was introduced as the fourth core expression in the lineup.

Aged more than five years and bottled non-chill filtered at 92 proof, it was blended in small batches at the Heaven's Door Distillery at Six Mile Creek under Master Blender Alex Moore. The brand notes aromas of baked bread, buttered popcorn and dried fruit, followed by caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper on the palate over oak and baking spice.

The finish is warm and steady. Pour it neat or with a large cube, or build it into an Old Fashioned.
