It is a blend of bourbons and ryes finished in black brandy casks using the brand's Black Noise process, which exposes the finishing barrels to low-frequency sound waves from Metallica's music. It is bottled non-chill filtered at cask strength, about 123 proof for Volume 1.

Dark fruit, black raspberry, vanilla, and toffee on the nose.
